Fifth seed Andrey Rublev played a very solid match, defeating Italian Lorenzo Sonego 6-2, 6-3 after an hour and 43 minutes of play. Rublev was extremely consistent on his initial shot, winning 70% of points when his first serve landed in. Sonego tried to put up a fight, but Rublev brilliantly used his chances, converting 5 of 11 break points he had at his disposal. With a total of 71% of games won in the match, the Russian clearly stated he is in top form for the tournament’s final stages.

Musetti’s Tennis Clinic Against Moutet

Second seed Lorenzo Musetti justified his status with a confident victory over Corentin Moutet, 6-3, 6-4, in a match that lasted an hour and 42 minutes. Musetti dictated the pace, hitting an impressive 26 winners. The Italian was particularly effective when it mattered most, capitalizing on 3 of 5 break opportunities. Although Moutet won a solid 61% of points on his first serve, Musetti was even more lethal with 69% of points won on his first delivery, allowing him to calmly close out the match.

Fils Makes Quick Work of Nakashima

Ninth seed Arthur Fils spent the least amount of time on the court, outclassing American Brandon Nakashima 6-2, 6-3 in just an hour and 14 minutes. Fils was completely dominant, winning an impressive 82% of points on his first serve. His aggressive play resulted in 21 winners, while Nakashima managed only 6 direct points. With a fantastic break point conversion rate (5 out of 9), Fils completely disarmed his opponent and booked his spot in the next round.
