The tournament in Kitzbuhel has reached its final stages. After exciting quarterfinal clashes, we have the top four tennis players who will battle on Centre Court for a spot in the grand final.
The action kicks off at 12:30 PM, and we are in for two fantastic matches.
Order of Play (Centre Court)
- 12:30 PM – Yannick Hanfmann (GER) vs. Quentin Halys (FRA)
- 2:00 PM – Alexander Bublik (KAZ) vs. Tomas Martin Etcheverry (ARG)
What to Expect in the Battle for the Final?
Will Hanfmann Stop Halys or Does the Fairytale Continue? The first semifinal brings us a clash between two players who displayed fantastic tennis in the quarterfinals. Yannick Hanfmann swept Baez off the court with incredible ease, proving that the conditions in Austria suit him perfectly. On the other side of the net will be Quentin Halys, the absolute sensation of the tournament. The Frenchman is playing the tennis of his life, and after eliminating the top favorite Vacherot and then Navone, he enters this duel full of confidence. We can expect a great battle between the German player’s stability and the unpredictable Frenchman’s lethal serve.
A Clash of Styles: Showman Bublik vs. The Wall Etcheverry A true spectacle is scheduled for 2:00 PM. Defending champion Alexander Bublik, who literally toyed around in the quarterfinals and thrilled the crowd with his serves, takes on Tomas Martin Etcheverry. The Argentine is a classic clay-court specialist; he plays very solidly from the baseline and easily dealt with Buse. This will be a classic clash of styles—Bublik’s unpredictability, drop shots, and devastating serves will have to break through Etcheverry’s solid baseline wall.
