Hangzhou Open 2026: Daniil Medvedev Dominates Andrey Rublev for the Title


Daniil Medvedev claimed the title at the ATP Hangzhou Open 2026 with a straight-sets victory in the all-Russian final against Andrey Rublev, winning 7-5, 6-4. The entire match lasted one hour and 35 minutes, with the first set taking 53 minutes and the second set 42 minutes.

Medvedev established his rhythm and took control from the very beginning. He created three break opportunities across the third and fifth games of the first set, but Rublev managed to defend them. The crucial moment arrived in the 11th game when Medvedev converted a break point to take the lead, subsequently closing out the first set with a confident service game. Rublev failed to earn a single break point opportunity throughout the opening set.

The second set began with an early break for Medvedev, who immediately took a 2-0 lead. He successfully maintained this advantage until the end of the match. Rublev’s only real threat came in the sixth game of the second set when he earned two break points, but he was unable to convert them.
