The most thrilling duel of the Round of 32 was undoubtedly played between American Taylor Townsend and the experienced German Tatjana Maria. Although Maria started stronger, taking the first set through a tense tie-break, Townsend demonstrated incredible mental and physical resilience, turning the match around for a final score of 6:7(7), 6:3, 6:2.
