Alexander Zverev advanced after a demanding four-set encounter with emerging talent Learner Tien, bringing an end to the American’s impressive Australian Open run. Tien arrived in the match riding a wave of confidence after four consecutive victories in Melbourne, including a stunning straight-sets upset over Daniil Medvedev in the previous round.
While Tien once again showed resilience and belief, Zverev’s experience at the highest level ultimately proved decisive over the course of the match.
