Absences and Favorites
This year, the tournament took place without two major names. Carlos Alcaraz, who has been out of competition for some time, decided to skip this Masters as well, while Jannik Sinner also withdrew from the event. In the absence of the top seeds, the role of the main favorite belonged to Alexander Zverev, who led the seeding list.
Besides them, Alexander Bublik also missed the tournament. Bublik has consistently chosen to skip Cincinnati since 2021 because the tournament dates coincide with his son’s birthday, which he considers more important than any tennis tournament.
