
After two days of intense battles on the courts of the Stadion Sports Center, the qualifications for the Vanda Pharmaceuticals Athens Open have concluded. Six players successfully overcame the final round and secured their place in the main draw of this prestigious WTA 250 tournament.
The competition was fierce, but the favorites mostly justified expectations. Japanese players had a particularly successful day, securing straight-set victories, while the clash between Elena Micic and Anastasia Kulikova delivered a suspenseful three-setter.

- Nao Hibino (Japan) – Confirmed her quality and seed status with a decisive win over M. Tona 6-4, 6-0.
