The first Round of 16 match played saw Roman Andres Burruchaga beat Vit Kopriva (3-6, 1-6).
In the remaining Round of 32 action, Vilius Gaubas got past Luciano Miguel in three sets (3-6, 6-2, 2-6), Damir Dzumhur rallied past Pedro Martinez (0-6, 7-6, 6-4), Jaime Faria beat Sebastian Baez (7-5, 6-1), and Ignacio Buse came through against Iago Marcondes (6-4, 5-7, 4-6).
