Despite falling in the final round of qualifying, Hamad Medjedovic will still compete in the main draw of the Rotterdam ATP 500 after receiving a lucky loser spot following the withdrawal of Hungarian player Fabian Marozsan.

The young Serbian opened his qualifying campaign with a convincing straight-sets victory over Nikoloz Basilashvili of Georgia, showing composure and aggressive baseline play. In the final qualifying round, Medjedovic was narrowly defeated by Luka Pavlovic after a hard-fought match, missing out on direct qualification.

However, Marozsan’s withdrawal created an opening in the main draw, allowing Medjedovic to enter the tournament as a lucky loser and earn a second chance at ATP 500 level.

Medjedovic will return to the court tonight at 21:00, where he will face Belgian player Zizou Bergs in the first round. The match presents both a challenge and an opportunity for the Serbian, who will look to build on his solid performances in qualifying and make the most of his unexpected opportunity in Rotterdam.

For Medjedovic, this appearance in the main draw represents valuable experience, ranking points, and another chance to test himself against strong opposition on the indoor ATP circuit.
